Today we are going to learn how to cook Afghani/Turkey Kofta (simply know as meat balls). Its simple and easy to prepare recipe and surprise your family and friends. Listen up guys, ingredients which we are going to use in preparing afghani kofta. Lets begin:
- 1 and 1/2 KG or 1 Pound ground Beef/Mutton.(means small pieces, kima)
- 1 Onion finely chopped(minced)
- 1 Green bell Pepper finely minced(chopped)
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic(chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander seed powder (Dhaniya powder)
- salt and pepper powder to add taste
Step 1: Mix together ground Beef/Mutton with onion, pepper, garlic and sufficient amount of salt as per your requirement.
Step 2: After uniform mixing keep aside for 30-45 min to blend the flavor of all the ingredients we added into the meat.
Step 3: From the above obtained mixture, make oval shape balls and place on skewer as shown below in picture
Step 4: Grill the balls attached to skewer on light fire, at-least maintaining a distance of 4-5 inches.
Step 5: Hold the skewer on fire until the balls turns to dark brown color.
Step 6: Remove the balls from skewer. Now they are ready for serving.
For Garnishing you can use onion, tomato and green bell pepper slices, place the slices in between the meat balls on wooden skewers as shown below in picture.
Tips: This meat balls will increase the flavor when they are Served with brown color rice.
This meat balls can also be used as snacks along with tomato and chilli sauce, spice curry.
